We have all seen those "shake flashlights" and the "Hand crank radios."
If I want to build a motor to generate electrical energy, how would I do that. Maybe there is some science store that sells a kit.

I think generator is the most efficient machine available in the market nowadays to convert mechanical energy into electrical energy. It is based on the principle of electromagnetic induction. It was discovered by Michael Faraday, the British scientist. I am of the view that he should check out on the internet if he wants to build the motor. He will come across a number of sites which will give him accurate information regarding the subject. I would like to wish him all the best in his new venture.

The rotation of a conductor which has mechanical energy is allowed to rotate in a magnetic field then due to change in flux there will be a induced emf according to Faraday laws of electromagnetic induction. hence, mechanical energy gets converted into electrical energy wow i said its all written by our scientist. Science will help you a lot to do your stuff.
    Best of Luck.

A generator is used to convert mechanical energy to electrical energy. A motor converts electrical energy to mechanical energy.I just want to know how light energy  can be converted to mechanical energy.???
