Length: Diameter Ratio is used as a guide to ensure adequate flow distribution through any vessel. Is anyone aware what guidelines are used for molecular sieve dehydrators?

Hi Canute,  I hope all is well with you.

For gas phase NG dehydration applications, where the feed is water saturated, a L/D ratio of 1.7 - 2.0 is usually acceptable, however, as in most engineering situations, the best answer is "it depends".  There are three other 'rules of thumb' that must be understood before making a blanket statement that the L/D ratio of 1.7 - 2.0 is OK.

I would be happy to discuss this issue in much greater as it pertains to your facility.  Please drop me an e-mail and I will respond asap.

    Hi,
I am looking for cases where the application of Glycol vs. Mole Sieve is used?

    Thanks!

    Avinash.
